We are all slaves. However there are two types of slaves. We can either be slaves to righteousness and holiness or saves to sin and depravity.
In John 8:34, Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.
Sin is an act of disobedience and lawlessness. Those who are slaves to sin are fathered by Satan while those are slaves to righteousness and holiness are fathered by the who brought light to the world.

In heaven he was called the “Word” of God for he was not created but was in the beginning with God.
Apostle John got the revelation of thus,
1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Verse 14 describes when the “Word” which was in the beginning changed form and paid visit to mankind,
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth”.
Verse 12 reveals how to comprehend the light and come out of darkness,
” But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”.
Hmmm, did you get this? Although God created all mankind, but according to verse 12, only those who received him are called the Sons of God.
Then who is him? Apostle John continued,
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
This is the final verdict. Watch what this Muslim said after Jésus-Christ showed up in his prison cell to bring salvation.

Therefore stand in all roads and seek for the old paths where you will find peace for your souls.
